AIRPORT

Copenhagen Airport is located 8 km from the city. Buses, trains and taxis provide transport to the Copenhagen city centre. Taxis can be hired from outside all arrival areas. Fares include VAT and tips and can normally be paid by credit card. Train tickets are available from the ticket office above the railway station in Terminal 3.

The currency in Denmark is the Danish krone (crown). Taxies, most tourist attractions and restaurants will accept EURO, however at a lower exchange rate.

Normal banking hours is from 10:00 to 16:00 hrs Monday through Friday. Extended banking facilities are available at Copenhagen Central Railway Station 7 days/week between 07:00 and 21:00 hrs. There are automatic cash dispensers, usually located in connection with a bank branch, which accept a variety of international credit cards. The cards accepted are indicated on the dispenser.

 

SHOPS

Shops are open from 10:00 to 17:30 / 18:00 hrs, Monday through Friday. A few department stores in city have longer opening hours. On Saturdays shops are open until 14:00/17:00 hrs and most shops are closed on Sundays.

CLIMATE
