PATIENTS

The Department of Growth and Reproduction’s outpatient clinic takes care of more than 2500 patients with diagnoses like growth retardation, precocious puberty, male hypogonadism, male infertility, and genetic disorders like Klinefelter syndrome, Turners syndrome, and congenital adrenal hyperplasia. Many of these patients are, because of the nature of their disease, followed for years. For some of these rare diseases, the department serves as the nationwide expertise and referral unit, and patients come from all over the country, including Greenland and the Faroe Islands.

In addition, the department offers semen cryo-preservation for patients undergoing treatment, that may impair their spermatogenesis.
